The Last Favor of a Droplet
Sculpture
Size : 200 X 150 X 200 cm
Medium: wood, transparent plastics
Year created: 2017
Sculpture “The Last Favor of a Droplet”is made of a large water droplet( transparent plastics material) which is locked in a wooden cage. "A drop received in need will be repaid with a whole river." is a Chinese idiom, meaning that in difficult times even a little bit of favor should also be double repaid (in action) .
This old saying seems mistimed in today's society driven by interest. In addition, it also seems unlogical in western countries. so it will be farther away from us. Therefore, I use the expression technique of humor to cage this large water droplet in a wooden cage, making it visible but untouchable, to memorize the last "Fovor of a Droplet"
