Sculpture "Rashomon" was made by scanning the heads of 15 volunteers, and printed the combined data on a giant egg by 3D printing. The top and bottom of the egg were fixed to the ceiling and the floor by iron chains. Emotions of the 15 volunteers varied. At present, the word Rashomon was given the meaning of " Each sticks to his own version, and the reality is unknown”, and it is a frequently used expression. In reality, every one views the world or describe himself in his own perspective. I tried to express this by the various expressions, including ecstatic, indifferent, sorrowful and other ones. But the expression of the figure behind can just not be seen. They are locked in the egg tightly. It reflected the people inter-locked in our world and it is hard for them to know the other aspects of others. For ordinary people, most truth and human nature in the world are just marine affairs. It is very difficult for us to see through the obscurities and arrive at reasonable judgment. Finally I chose yellow as the main color of my sculpture because yellow symbolizes briskness, vitality and hope, and it can express my best wishes --- Rashomon always happens in our world around, and I will still treat others with a sincere heart.
